What is the difference between Organic & Inorganic listings?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Results are on the left section of the SERP. Pay per click (PPC) is an advertising model used on search engines, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser's website. Results are on the right section of the SERP.

What is link popularity?
Link popularity is a measure of the quantity and quality of other web sites that link to a specific site on the World Wide Web. Three ways of website linking comprise of reciprocal linking, one way linking & Multi way linking.

What does caching & indexing of web pages mean?
Search Engines like Google, msn etc takes a snapshot of each web page it examines and caches (stores) that version as a back-up. The cached version is what Google uses to judge if a page is a good match for your query. An index is a system used to make finding information easier. Search Engines use this method to create a table of relevant websites onto the server to be fetched as & when required. What are web spiders? A search engine employs special software robots, called spiders, to build lists of the words found on Web sites.

What are one way & reciprocal links?
One way linking is a hyperlink that points to a website without any reciprocal link; thus the link goes "one way" in direction. It is suspected by many industry consultants that this type of link would be considered more natural in the eyes of search engines. One Way links are also called Incoming Links or Inbound Links A reciprocal link is a mutual link between two objects, commonly between two websites to ensure mutual traffic.

Are framed websites a thing of past?
Framed websites are no longer actively being created, as they make it difficult for search engines to crawl through them.

What are Meta tags?

Meta tags are used in html page headers, and contain information about keywords and descriptions of the web page. They provide the search engines with the information, assisting your site to be catalogued.
